Quantum Optics
Sep 1, 1996

I study the interaction of laser with matter, with a semi-classical description, namely laser is described by Maxwell equation and matter at quantum level via a density matrix formulation.
- Cauchy problem for the Schrödinger-Bloch system.
- Modelling via Bloch and Maxwell-Bloch equations.
- Asymptotic issues.
Part of my Habilitation thesis deals with the theme. I also wrote a master-level book on models in nonlinear and quantum optics, including numerical issues.
I also worked on models at meso-scopic scale.
