Times Package for E-MicroM contains classes to generate the time evolution of the relaxation. It is based on 3 classes:
- EMM_IterativeTimeStep which uses dichotomic methods to evaluate the best time step which maximize the energy variation.
- EMM_GoldenNumberIterativeTimeStep which uses the golden number optimization method
- EMM_QuadraticNumberIterativeTimeStep which uses the quadratic number optiization method based on maximizing a polynom of 2 order
- EMM_BrentIterativeTimeStep which uses the quadratic number optimization method based on maximizing a polynom of 2 order
- EMM_NewtonRaphsonIterativeTimeStep which uses a gradient descent method based on estimation of the 2 first derivatives of th energy
- EMM_PolynomialInterpolationTimeStep which minimize a polynome of 4 order.
- EMM_OptimalTimeStep which uses a taylor expansion of the energy variation to compute the maximum of the energy vartiation by computing the extrenum of a 4-order polynom (see Mathematical Polynomial Package for E-MicroM)
EMM_IterativeTimeStep can be uses with all type of relaxation. EMM_OptimalTimeStep can only be used with systems whose all operators are affine.
